Sorry Vyn. Yes I was sad to see Tommy Lasorda had finally passed.... but weirdly if I had to pick answer to "alive for dead?" for 1 million dollars, I would have lost on Tommy Lasorda. :(

Sylvain Sylvain of the New York Dolls. If you don't know them, their first two albums are milestones of both glam and punk. (And David Johansen went on to find success under the pseudonym Buster Poindexter.)

Sigfried and Roy are doing magic in the afterlife now, as Sigfried died of cancer at 81.
Holy shit, 81.

Looks like Screech might be on his way out also with stage 4 cancer.

Phil Spector, whose contributions to pop music are forever overshadowed by the whole psycho murderer thing.

I honestly thought he had died already.

lost another cat, Simon, on Sunday night. we think he had a heart attack or blood clot that dislodged, because all of a sudden he lost use of his left front leg and was gasping for breath.

and i messed up the timeline - Wedge was put to sleep the week before Christmas Eve, and we found out Simon had congestive heart failure on Christmas Eve.

and now Meg(atron), my first cat ever, and really my first 'major' pet (i.e. not a goldfish or hamster), is not eating and losing weight like crazy. even with an appetite stimulant.

so that's two out of five down in roughly a month, with a third on her last legs.
Life is short. STUNT IT!

No kidding. Pulling off the bandaid is one thing but this is a lot to manage. :(

So I guess that's another point for me.

Funny thing about Hank Aaron. He wore #44. He hit 44 homeruns in a season 3 times. He died on 1/22/21. 1+22+21=44.

They say these things happen in threes... we euthanized Meg on Saturday. I'm really taking this one hard.
